IIT Kanpur records the highest CTC of the season at ₹5.5 crore
A quantitative-trader offer of ₹5.5 crore per annum from Jane Street became the highest reported CTC across all IITs in the 2024-25 placement cycle.
IIT Kanpur reported the highest CTC of the 2024-25 placement season, with a ₹5.5 crore per annum offer for a quantitative-trader role from global trading firm Jane Street.
The offer, made to a graduating computer-science student, includes base pay, bonus and relocation components and is an international package.
Alongside the headline figure, the institute reported a BTech average package of about ₹26.27 LPA in the first phase, with the computer-science branch averaging roughly ₹42.89 LPA.
